This guide compares 10 online schools in Pakistan for students in Grades 6–8, covering Cambridge and Pakistani board curricula, live classes, tuition fees, and learning features. It also explores free learning resources, practical selection tips, and questions parents should ask before enrolling their children.
Choosing a school for a child in Grade 6, 7, or 8 is a big decision. These years matter. Maths gets harder, science becomes real experiments and ideas, and exams like Matric or IGCSE start to feel close. That is why so many families now search for online schools in Pakistan.
Online school saves travel time, gives a flexible routine, and can bring Cambridge-style learning to your living room. But there are many choices, and not every website tells the full story. So we went through school websites, fee pages, and parent reviews in October 2026 and picked ten options. Most are live online schools. One is a free app.
The ten options are Cambridge Education System, British Lyceum Online School, Brainfield School, Iqra Virtual School, Olevels.com Virtual School, Bab Ul Ilm Virtual School, KINS Learning Hub, The Way Forward, Future Learn School, and Taleemabad. For Grades 6 to 8, the right pick depends on three things: your curriculum (Cambridge or a Pakistani board), your budget, and how much live teaching your child needs.
What Is an Online School in Pakistan?
An online school is a school where lessons happen over the internet instead of inside a building. Your child logs in from a laptop or tablet. A teacher teaches live, classmates join, and homework and tests are managed on a learning platform.
There are two common types. A full-time online school works like a normal school, with a daily timetable, a class group, exams, and report cards. A tuition-style academy gives extra lessons in a few subjects while your child may still attend a regular school. Some schools on this list offer both, so read the details closely.
Online lessons can be live or recorded. Live classes let your child ask a question right away. Recorded lessons let them watch again when a topic is confusing. The best programs use both.
One thing parents often miss: final exams are still taken in person. One guide on O Level study notes that there is currently no fully online exam system for the O Levels Program in Pakistan, and students must sit the exams at an authorized centre. So online school covers the learning, but the exam hall is still real.
Is Online School Right for a Child in Grade 6 to 8?
Grades 6 to 8 are a bridge. Children move from simple primary lessons to subjects with more reading, more writing, and more thinking. Online school can help in some ways and make things harder in others. Here is an honest look at both sides.
- Flexible routine: there is no long trip to school, so your child gets more time for rest, sleep, and hobbies.
- Wider choice: you can pick a Cambridge or Pakistani board program even if no such school is near your home.
- Easier questions: in a small live class, some children find it simpler to ask a teacher for help than in a crowded room.
- More screen time: long hours online can tire the eyes and the mind.
- Less play with friends: children need other children, so plan meet-ups, sports, or hobby classes.
- Needs self-control: your child must stay focused without a teacher standing nearby, and you may need to check in often.
If your child enjoys learning on a device, can sit through a class, and has a calm place to study, online school can work very well. If your child gets distracted easily, begin with a trial class before you pay for a full term.
Cambridge or Pakistani Board: Which Path Fits Better?
Both paths are good. They simply lead to different exams. The Cambridge Pathway has a lower secondary stage for ages 11 to 14, which is close to Grades 6 to 8, and it later leads to IGCSE or O Levels. Pakistani board programs follow textbooks from the Federal Board or a provincial board and lead to Matric and then FSc.
Cambridge-style teaching tends to give more weight to projects, problem-solving, and English. Board programs stay closer to the national textbooks. If your child may study abroad one day, a Cambridge route can be a smart choice. If your child plans to study at a local college or sit local entry tests, a board route is a natural fit.
You can switch paths later, but the move is usually smoother in Grade 8 than in Grade 10. Ask any school how it supports students who change from one path to the other.
How We Picked These Schools
This is not an official ranking, and we did not use secret scores. We looked at what each school says about itself and compared the same things every time:
- Grades covered: does it clearly teach Grades 6, 7, and 8?
- Curriculum: Cambridge, British, Federal Board, Punjab Board, or a mix.
- Live teaching: real teachers in real time, or only videos.
- Fees: is the price shown, and is it realistic for most families?
- Trust signals: registration details, free trials, parent reviews, and clear contact details.
Please keep one limit in mind. Most facts here come from the schools’ own websites. We have not visited these schools or sat in their classes. Treat our notes as a starting point, then ask every school for a trial class and a written fee list.
For students and professionals looking to earn from home, online tutoring can be a practical career option. Explore our guide to online tutoring jobs in Pakistan to learn where to find teaching opportunities, what skills you need, and how to get started.

The Top 10 Online Schools in Pakistan, One by One
1. Cambridge Education System
Best for: families who want a Cambridge path, live classes, and the option of a campus.
Cambridge Education System began in 2016 and teaches online from Montessori to Grade 8. Its classes are live and interactive. The website posts class timetables for each grade, including Grades 6, 7 and 8, which helps you see the school day before you apply.
The school says its secondary stage follows the Cambridge Pathway and uses regular quizzes, projects, assignments and oral presentations. Since its listed grades stop at Grade 8, ask where students go next for IGCSE.
In 2026, the school also opened a physical campus at G13/4 in Islamabad, so nearby families can pick online or on campus. The site says over 1,200 students are enrolled, but that is the school’s own number. For fees, the site showed AED prices for 2024 to 2025 and asks parents to message on WhatsApp for current rates by grade.
2. British Lyceum Online School
Best for: families who want one school from Primary to Matric or O Level, including overseas Pakistanis.
British Lyceum offers live classes for Primary, Secondary, O and A Levels, plus Matric and FSc. It says it teaches students in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK, Canada, and more than 25 countries. Its Matric and FSc classes are scheduled in Gulf time zones, which is handy for families living there.
The school says it is registered with the Federal Board for Matric and FSc and follows Cambridge CAIE for O and A Levels. It also says classes are both live and recorded, and that it is endorsed by Cambridge Global. As with any claim, ask to see proof.
Grade 6 to 8 students would join the secondary section. Ask for the exact subjects, class timings, and fees for your child’s grade, because we did not find fees on the pages we checked. The school also sells online tuition and short courses, which is useful if your child only needs help in maths or science.

3. Brainfield School
Best for: families who want a British Cambridge program with a clearly named Grade 5 to 8 stage.
Brainfield offers live virtual classes from pre-school to IGCSE. Its curriculum menu has a Secondary Level page for Grades 5 to 8, then an IGCSE page for Grades 9 to 11. The office is in PECHS, Karachi, and the website lists a school registration number and company details. That kind of detail is exactly what you want to see.
The school uses a learning management system for course materials, assignments, discussions, and progress tracking. It says it assesses every student at the start of the year or term. It also runs support hour classes for children who need extra help to understand a topic.
The website shows a 4.7 Google rating with parent comments. Since that is on the school’s own page, open Google and read the reviews yourself. For fees, use the admission and payments pages or contact the school directly.
4. Iqra Virtual School
Best for: families who want to try live classes before they commit.
Iqra Virtual School promises daily live group classes in all subjects, not recorded lectures. It offers a British curriculum from KG1 to Grade 8, with Oxford and Cambridge books up to Grade 7. For higher grades, it says it is affiliated with the Federal Board.
Here is something to check. One part of the site says the Federal Board covers Grade 8 to 12, and another part says Grade 9 to 12. If your child is in Grade 8, ask which one applies.
The school offers a free three-day trial of its live classes, with no registration or fees. That is a great way to test the teachers and the platform. It also provides one-on-one tuition, IGCSE preparation from Grade 8, online Quran classes, and American GED and SAT preparation. Fees depend on the grade and program, and the school asks you to contact it on WhatsApp.
5. Olevels.com Virtual School
Best for: overseas families who are happy to pay in dollars and want an IGCSE route.
Olevels.com runs an online school with a fee page that lists Grade 1 to Grade 7 under its primary and secondary tracks. The admission fee is $100 and is not refundable. The monthly fee is $80, which the page also shows as AED 293 or SAR 300. Because the price is in dollars, the cost in rupees will move with the exchange rate.
Parent reviews on Trustpilot mention children becoming more responsible and the school’s attention to religious upbringing. One parent gives a fair warning. If your child is social, think about what they might miss and plan ways to make up for it.
The school also lists A Levels, group courses, one-to-one tutors, and crash courses. Its fee page stops at Grade 7, so if your child is in Grade 8, ask which program they would join. Also confirm the curriculum for Grades 6 to 8, since we could not confirm that from the pages we saw.
6. Bab Ul Ilm Virtual School
Best for: families who want a lower-priced option in rupees with Grades 6 to 8 clearly priced.
Bab Ul Ilm teaches from Play Group to Grade 8 and also has a Pre-9th level. It says it is registered and certified, and its stated aim is to help children who are out of school because of cost or distance.
Its fee table is easy to read. For Lower Secondary, which covers Grade 6 to 8 and Pre-9th, the normal admission fee is Rs 10,000 and monthly tuition is Rs 7,500. Under a limited-time offer, these drop to Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,500. A digital resource charge of Rs 9,900 is waived for new students. Offers like these change, so confirm the price before you pay.
It also runs a Quran program covering Nazra, Hifz, translation, and Tafseer. The page we saw focused more on fees than on the syllabus, so ask about the curriculum, class size, live class timings, and registration papers.
7. KINS Learning Hub
Best for: Punjab families who want Cambridge or Punjab Textbook Board content with live tutors.
KINS Learning Hub teaches live online classes from Grade 5 to A Level. It names Cambridge CAIE, BISE, the Punjab Textbook Board, and Oxford as the standards it follows. For Grades 5 to 8, it lists Oxford, Cambridge, and Punjab Textbook Board materials.
It describes its classes as live and interactive with certified tutors, and says schedules are flexible. That makes it a practical choice if your child follows a Pakistani board, but you want some Cambridge-style teaching too.
One thing to clarify is whether KINS works as a full school or as a tuition hub for your child’s grade. Ask how attendance, tests, and report cards are handled, and ask for a trial lesson before you decide.
8. The Way Forward (TWF)
Best for: families who want a structured, premium program and can afford it.
The Way Forward describes itself as a live, supervised online school that runs a full school day from Monday to Friday. The page we saw is for Grades 3 to 5 and lists PKR 35,000 a month, plus a PKR 50,000 admission fee charged once a year. The school says the fee is all-inclusive.
TWF focuses on critical thinking, AI literacy, logic, and entrepreneurship. It also says students cover Grade 4 to Grade 8 content in one year. That is the school’s own claim, and we could not check it. Admission includes an assessment, and a free assessment is offered.
This is the most expensive option on our list, so be sure it fits your budget. If your child is in Grade 6 to 8, ask whether there is a class for your child’s level before you apply.
9. Future Learn School
Best for: families planning for Matric with the Federal Board.
Future Learn School says it is Pakistan’s first online school and college affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. It is fully digital. Students join live classes through Microsoft Teams and can also watch recorded lectures at their own pace.
Its programs are Matric and HSSC, so it is not a Grade 6 or 7 school. For a child in Grade 8, it is a useful next step to look at early. The fee page we found was from 2023 and listed Rs 3,000 admission and Rs 36,000 yearly tuition for Matric, which came to Rs 39,000. Prices have likely changed, so ask for the current list.
10. Taleemabad
Best for: free extra practice, especially for Grade 6 and below.
Taleemabad is a learning app made by Orenda. It turns the national curriculum of Pakistan into animated lessons, games, and tests. A KaiOS announcement said it covers Nursery to Grade 6. A campaign write-up described it as free to access on Android phones.
The app checks your child’s level and adjusts. Sometimes it even moves a student back to an earlier grade to fix a gap, then slowly moves forward. Parents can follow progress in a parent portal.
Taleemabad is not a full school. It does not give report cards or register your child for exams. For Grades 7 and 8, use it as a helper next to a school or tuition program.
Free Options If Fees Are a Problem
Not every family can pay monthly fees. In 2020, the Punjab government launched Taleem Ghar, a free TV channel and mobile app for students from Grade 1 to 8, Matric and Intermediate. It was made so students could learn at home. Check the Google Play Store to see if it is still active and what content it has now.
Taleemabad, covered above, is another free route. Neither one replaces a school with a teacher who knows your child, but both can help your child practice at no cost.
How to Choose the Right Online School for Grades 6 to 8
Start with your curriculum, then check live teaching, then compare prices. Here is a simple order to follow.
- Pick your path. Decide if your child will follow Cambridge and IGCSE, or a Pakistani board like the Federal Board or a provincial board. This choice shapes everything else.
- Check live class time. Ask how many hours of live teaching your child gets each day, and how many students are in a class. Smaller groups usually mean more attention.
- Book a trial. A trial class shows you the teacher, the platform, and how your child reacts. Iqra Virtual School openly offers a free three-day trial. Ask others for one too.
- Ask about exams. Find out who registers your child for board or Cambridge exams and where the exams are held.
- Verify the school. Look for a registration number, a real address, and clear contact details. Do not rely on a WhatsApp number alone.
- Add up the full cost. Ask about admission, monthly tuition, books, digital resources, and exam fees. Then work out the cost for one full year.
- Test your setup. Make sure your internet and device can handle live video. A shaky connection can ruin a good school.
If a school avoids answering any of these points, that tells you something. A good school is happy to explain.

How Much Do Online Schools in Pakistan Cost?
Fees on this list range widely. Bab Ul Ilm shows Rs 6,500 to Rs 7,500 a month for Grade 6 to 8. The Way Forward lists Rs 35,000 a month. Olevels.com lists $80 a month. Several schools, including Cambridge Education System, British Lyceum, Brainfield and KINS, ask you to contact them for current prices.
Do not judge a school by price alone. A cheap school with no live teaching may cost you more in the end if your child needs a tutor too. A costly school may be more than you need. Compare what you get for each rupee, and always ask for the full yearly cost in writing.
Tips to Help Your Child Succeed in Online Class
Online school works best when the home setup is ready. A few small habits make a big difference for Grade 6 to 8 students:
- Create a quiet study corner with a desk, a charged device, and a notebook.
- Keep a fixed routine. Wake up, eat, and log in at the same time each day.
- Ask your child to keep the camera on and join in, even when it feels awkward.
- Take short breaks between classes to stretch, drink water, and rest your eyes.
- Check homework and tests once a week. A quick chat can catch problems early.
- Plan real-world time with friends, sports, or hobby classes so your child does not feel alone.
Also talk to your child about online safety. Remind them to keep passwords private and to tell you if anyone makes them uncomfortable in a chat.
Final Thoughts
The best online school is the one that fits your child, your board, and your budget. If you want Cambridge-style teaching, start with Cambridge Education System, British Lyceum, or Brainfield. If cost is the main worry, look at Bab Ul Ilm or use Taleemabad for free practice. If Matric is your goal, look closely at Future Learn School and British Lyceum.
Whatever you choose, ask for a trial class, get fees in writing, and check the registration details. Fees and offers change, so confirm every number with the school. Ready for the next step? Frequently Asked Questions
Which is the best online school in Pakistan for Grade 6 to 8?
There is no single best school, because families want different things. For a Cambridge-style program, look at Cambridge Education System, British Lyceum Online School, and Brainfield School. For lower monthly fees in rupees, Bab Ul Ilm Virtual School shows clear prices for Grades 6 to 8. For a free option, try Taleemabad as extra practice.
Are online schools in Pakistan recognized?
It depends on the school and the exam board. Cambridge and Federal Board exams are still taken in person at approved centres, so check that the school is registered or works with the right board. Ask for the registration details in writing before you pay.
Can my child do Matric online in Pakistan?
Yes, some schools offer online classes for Matric. British Lyceum and Future Learn School both say they are linked with the Federal Board for Matric. Your child will still need to sit the board exams at an approved centre, so confirm the details first.
How much does an online school cost in Pakistan?
Prices vary a lot. Bab Ul Ilm lists Rs 6,500 to Rs 7,500 a month for Grade 6 to 8, depending on its offer. The Way Forward lists Rs 35,000 a month for its program. Olevels.com prices in dollars. Some schools do not show fees online, so ask for the full yearly cost.
Do online schools in Pakistan have live classes?
Most of the full schools in this list do. Iqra Virtual School, Brainfield School, Cambridge Education System, British Lyceum, and KINS Learning Hub all describe live teaching. Taleemabad is different because it is an app with animated lessons and tests, not a live school.
Is online school a good choice for a child in Grade 6 to 8?
It can be, if your child can stay focused and you can offer some support at home. It saves travel time and gives flexibility. The downside is less time with friends, so plan sports, family time, or hobby classes to balance it.
