GIKI Aggregate Calculator 2027

Estimate your GIKI undergraduate merit score from the admission test and previous qualification. GIKI’s comparative assessment gives most weight to its test.

GIKI Aggregate Calculator

Enter percentages from your official marksheet or equivalence certificate. Select the closest matching admission route to display its formula.

Estimate only. This result does not confirm eligibility or admission. Current prospectus, program criteria, campus rules, category and equivalence decisions of GIKI take precedence.

How the GIKI Aggregate Is Calculated

GIKI’s published comparative assessment assigns 85% to the admission test and 15% to the applicable previous qualification. Select the qualification relevant to your application.

GIKI’s undergraduate comparative assessment places 85% weight on the admission test and 15% on the applicable prior qualification. The official wording distinguishes qualification backgrounds, so enter the percentage for the qualification relevant to your case and consult the GIKI portal for how your credential is assessed. This simple calculator does not convert SAT percentiles, IB results, equivalence grades or CGPA into percentages.

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Select the degree group and qualification route that matches your application.
  2. Enter each score as a percentage from 0 to 100. To convert raw marks, divide marks obtained by total marks and multiply by 100.
  3. Press Calculate aggregate to see the weighted contribution of each score.
  4. Check the official admission notice for the same intake before making an application decision.

Eligibility and Merit Are Different

Eligibility is the minimum academic background and score required to apply. Aggregate is the weighted merit score used to compare eligible applicants. Reaching an eligibility threshold does not guarantee selection. Merit can vary by degree, campus, admission category, available seats and year.

Important Qualification Notes

  • Use the Part-I or completed-result marks specified for the selected route.
  • For A-Level or another foreign qualification, use the official IBCC equivalence percentage where required. Do not convert grades yourself.
  • Some degrees have interviews, aptitude tests, subject prerequisites or separate selection formulas not included in this calculator.
  • Where a route is not listed, do not assume one of these formulas applies. Consult the admission office or latest prospectus.

Frequently Asked Questions

For comparison, see the NUST calculator.

Does GIKI include both Matric and FSc in this formula?

The published comparative assessment allocates 15% to the applicable previous qualification alongside 85% admission test. Check how GIKI treats your specific educational background.

Can I enter SAT score directly?

This calculator accepts a percentage from 0 to 100. If you apply through SAT or another route, use the official route-specific assessment rather than converting scores yourself.

Does a high aggregate assure admission?

No. Admission depends on eligibility, the official merit process and available seats.

GIKI admission-test merit and qualification routes

GIKI’s published comparative assessment gives 85% weight to the admission test and 15% to the applicable previous qualification. The academic input is not always the same certificate: the criteria refer to SSC or equivalent, O-Level equivalence for local A-Level candidates, or the last completed qualification for routes such as a high-school diploma, IB diploma, B.Sc. or DAE. Choose the score GIKI specifies for your qualification; do not enter both Matric and FSc into a formula that assigns only one 15% academic component.

The test also depends on the programme group. Engineering and computing applicants sit the GIKI test described for those fields, while Management Sciences uses the GIK Common Admissions Test, designed to assess reading, writing and mathematical skills. The aggregate page accepts a test percentage to make the arithmetic visible, but it does not convert a scaled test score or tell you how GIKI normalizes a result. Follow the current admission portal and test instructions for the exact number to use.

Check the subject and marks conditions

GIKI publishes separate eligibility conditions for Engineering, computing programmes and Management Sciences. Engineering routes require specified Mathematics and Physics preparation and recognized subject combinations; computing degrees also require Mathematics; Management Sciences accepts a broader set of HSSC backgrounds subject to its listed overall condition. Foreign qualifications need the equivalence GIKI specifies. These subject conditions are separate from the weighted score, so a strong test result does not make an ineligible subject combination acceptable.

Some students awaiting final results may apply provisionally, with confirmation dependent on submitting results by the date in the offer and meeting the stated criteria. Treat provisional admission as conditional. Keep the original documents, equivalence certificates and test records ready, and review any deadline in your own offer letter. A previous prospectus can explain the general structure, but the current session page controls the live application process.

Application, campus and cost considerations

GIKI’s undergraduate application process is online. Compare the degree choices, admission test, application schedule, financial assistance deadline and joining instructions published for the active cycle. The Institute is located in Topi, District Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; for many students, the residential setting and travel to and from campus are material parts of the decision. Check the official Student Life, campus facilities, hostel and transport information rather than assuming arrangements from another university.

Budget for the complete year, not just the application fee. Tuition, boarding, meals, travel, books and personal expenses can change and may depend on a student’s circumstances. GIKI publishes fee and scholarship/financial-assistance information separately. Read the conditions, application deadline and renewal rules. If you need aid, prepare the requested financial documents before the deadline; a calculator result does not establish scholarship eligibility.

Programme fit and what merit does not show

GIKI’s undergraduate schools include engineering fields, computer science and engineering, basic sciences, materials and chemical engineering, civil and mechanical disciplines, and Management Sciences. Compare the actual curriculum, laboratory and project requirements, faculty area and future study options for the degree you want. A broad interest in technology may point to several programmes, but their prerequisites and coursework differ. Use the official degree descriptions and syllabus to check whether the subject mix suits your preparation.

Your aggregate is not a guarantee of a place. GIKI says programme or faculty allocation is based on merit and the choices stated in the application; minimum merit can differ by faculty. Historical cutoffs can help you understand past selection, but they are not promises for the next cycle. Use the component breakdown to decide where preparation can improve your score, then verify the programme choices and admission policy in the current portal.

GIKI merit FAQs

Do I enter both SSC and HSSC in the GIKI calculator?

No. The published assessment uses one 15% academic component appropriate to the candidate’s qualification. Use the certificate specified for your route and leave unrelated marks out.

Does the same GIKI test apply to Management Sciences?

No. GIKI describes the GIK Common Admissions Test for Management Sciences; engineering and computing use their designated admission test. Check the active programme instructions.

Can I use a past GIKI closing merit as a cutoff?

Use previous merit only for context. Faculty choices, applicant scores and the current session’s policy can change, so it cannot confirm admission.
